Rising water temperatures have created “thermoclines” where oxygen levels stratify at certain depths. Upper zones contain oxygen and support aquatic life. Perhaps one-half of the lower water volume may be void of oxygen and totally unproductive. If some catastrophic event causes a sudden “turnover”, fish kills may occur.
Don’t risk losing a mature fish population. Greatly improve water quality with a system that recycles the water column approximately every 48 to 72 hours. Aeration increases productivity and helps all aquatic life thrive. One of our suppliers has announced an economical new model for smaller ponds.
